This fabulous recipe based on one from Veggie Inspired is so incredibly delicious and simple and received rousing approval from my whole family.

Using whole chickpeas, Heartveld Activated Oats and Pecans, nut butter, dates and honey these blondies are fudgy and nourishing and definitely fit for breakfast.

Now for the recipe:

1 1/2 cups soaked cooked chickpeas or 1 tin
1/2 cup nut butter
1/4 cup honey
2 T coconut sugar (not necessary in my opinion)
1/2 t baking powder
1/4 t bicarb
1/4 t salt
1/2 cup pecans
1/2 cup dates, chopped
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Put all the ingredients except the dates and pecans into a food processor and process until smooth.
Stir in the pecans and dates and spread into a brownie tin.
Bake for 25 minutes or until the edges just pull away from the sides of the tin.
Slice, cool and enjoy!!
